LEVEL 1 – “How to get started in Voiceover” video class
This 45-minute video walks you through everything you need to know to get started as a voiceover actor. In the video, Garrett narrates on a small screen throughout the video. Topics include various software and equipment options, soundproofing tips, how and where to find auditions, scripts, and how to record and do basic editing using Audacity software.
LEVEL 2 – Intermediate VO Training
After completing Level 1, purchasing your equipment, and setting up your software, you are ready for Level 2. At this stage, you will record three (3) different sets of sides for various types of voiceover based what you feel fits you the best. Once your recordings are complete and sent to Forge Ahead A/V Studios for review, we schedule a Zoom session with you to critique, go over any editing requirements, and discuss if the voiceover styles fit your voice. After that, you will be given the opportunity to either re-record or find three additional sides to record and submit for critique and editing lessons.
Garrett Forge is the man.
Honestly. He’s helpful, he gets to the point, he’s there for you and willing to help you get the tools you need to get into VO. I’ve tried going to other people on YouTube and even on Facebook for help and while they were a bit resourceful, I felt like in the end they were trying to sell me something. Garrett doesn’t do that. He’s honest, he makes it simple, he breaks it down for you, he does what a TEACHER is supposed to do.

His instructions were so detailed that I wanted to start immediately after his first lesson! Even though there are more tips to learn and tricks to the game, this powerful method of teaching us the business was more than what I expected!
